To perform electronics and electrical design for the products, and support other areas of the business.  Will have primary focus on Motion control with the ability to work in other areas.



  • Providing timescales and plans to the team leader on assigned tasks
  • Design electronic/electrical solutions for the projects set, specifically in the motion control area
  • Support other members of the electronics team with expertise and knowledge
  • Provide feedback to the team leader for KPI’s
  • Work with project managers and team leaders to estimate the time and cost for non-standard system requests



  • Provide technical support to other areas of the business
  • Work on engineering processes and procedures to improve the teams systems



HND or degree in electronics or electrical discipline or equivalent experience



  • 10+ years’ experience as an electronics or electrical designer
  • Must be experienced with motion control electronics (particularly CANBUS)
  • Experience of embedded software programming
  • Some experience of general analog and digital electronics
  • Familiarity with ORCAD design tools



  • Good presentation skills to explain complex plans to all levels of the company
  • Experience of High Voltage electronics



Functional competencies

  • Knowledge of High Voltage electronics and safety
  • Knowledge of ISP and CE standards that relate to electronic and electrical safety
