JOB PURPOSE

The Finance Assistant is responsible for assisting the Financial Controller in the accurate and timely processing of financial information within the business and controlling the cash flow of the business.

To deal with other projects as required and to provide support to senior management team to aid business decision making.

 

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Prepare detailed cash flow requirements as required

To review vendor ledgers and take corrective action as necessary

To prepare schedules for supplier payments on an as needed basis and load them to the bank payment software

To review and post expenses via the mobilexpense system

To prepare and reconcile the cash books of the group

To prepare prepayments and accruals to ensure the correct reporting of OPEX within the monthly profit and loss account

To assist in preparing information for the annual statutory audit

To deal with other projects as required and to provide support to senior management team to aid business decision making

 

QUALIFICATIONS

AAT qualified or equivalent qualification by experience

Studying for CIMA qualification

Specific Competencies/skills/abilities required for the job

Experience:

  • Minimum of one years post qualification experience within a manufacturing environment or three years working within a finance department
